Yeah, it is a valid concern for sure. That's why there will be teleporters dispersed around the map, which is something I forgot to mention because it isn't implemented yet Smiley it should make traversing the map easier. Also note that the goal room isn't a boss room, you can safely enter in there, notice that is the end of the level and go back to keep killing stuff and looting.

However visual hints indicating the main path is an awesome idea and will for sire try it, thanks!

After successfully porting the level generation to the game, now I'm focusing on level art design. I'm just a mere programmer so at the moment I'm struggling to produce a nice-looking room and defining the overall tone.





What do you guys think?

Continuing the effort on redesigning the game. This time: a new enemy!



Temporal codename is "Spinner", although I want to have named enemies for the game lore, so ideas are welcome here.

Pretty excited with the new dash system, where you have a limited number of charges that you can recover faster by shooting enemies.

So yesterday I tried to make a push to finish this kind of vertical slice on the boss fight. Lots of things hacked in, but 100% playable. I received some feedback from friends that played it and they liked it, so makes me hopeful Smiley

Wow this looks so good! I could just imagine turning the lights off and watching the color show! If you guys haven't sorted the soundtrack out yet let me know I love doing sci-fi stuff and these are my favorite kinds of games  Wink

Started to implement the skill tree! The player can unlock skills such as more dashes, more health or a dash explosion!

Thanks for the comments guys! I was taking a break to decide how to go on, still trying to find the identity of the game. I'll slowly get there, I guess.

Right now I'm testing adding spells to the twin-stick gameplay. Introducing Ice Blast! What do you think?
