Hello Guys,

I am a game developer and a game lover.

In this period of life, I usually play mobile games, but anything goes.

I already developed two 2D mobile games and another 3D mobile game is on its way.

Making games sometimes looks simple for a non-developer, however, developers know that programming is just a fraction of the process.
It needs design (GDD), prototype and after a redesign, changes, programming, bug fixes, balancing, art, music, publishing in stores (Yes, Also Apple Game Center!), marketing, More tuneups and bug fixes, Cetera, Cetera.

All In all, a lot of labor that comes from passion.

To help developers promote their games I opened a Facebook group called "Open Game Promo" That besides developers allow also non-developers to publish games in the group for us to enjoy what the world of gaming delivers!

Help me make this group a benefit for all of us in the world of gaming.
Join the group and promote your games:

 Gomez
Thank you,
DR.

I'm part of several game promotion groups on Facebook. They really are a great way to share your work, however, if you're trying to reach a more public audience you might have a better chance posting to Facebook groups that are genre or console specific. I did join your group though!

I think there are already too many gamedev related groups in facebook. There is the problem that those groups only attract other developers who want to promote their games. I'm afraid that your group will turn the same eventually, if it grows big enough to make a difference.

You probably need something to distinguish your group from other similar groups. Especially a way to get non-developers find interest in it.

Good luck to you anyway.  Smiley

Thanks for the feedback.

I want to give more stage to developers and non-developers who wants to promote a game or just game players like I do.

Distinguishing a group a from others is a welcome add-on. If you have any suggestion please share.

Could it be dedicated to something like sharing gifs or videos of games? It could be used to promote the game at the same time. Although there might be that kind of groups already.

Anyway, it might be good to focus on something specific that both developers and gamers find interesting or fun.

Hey mate,

I am targeting to both game promotions and gamers.

Indeed it is harder to find gamers than game developer's who wants to promote their work anyway.
I am doing my homework to find the correct balance.

I am targeting to connect gamers and developers.

My group description starts with "This is the place where gamers and developers meet!"

Thanks for your ideas Smiley
Looking forward to hear more.

I think that having a group where you share only gifs and everything else is deleted...would be something

Hey mate,

You mean only animated gif for games preview?
I think not everybody knows how to convert 1 minute video into a short animated gif.

You "the person with the gif" have to catch the idea in a few frames :D

From my exp, people are triggered easier on gifs.
However fb is playing the video automatically now...so don't really know here

Ah yes. The Facebook community method of promoting. I honestly love the community over there. I tend to lurk as my works aren't in "viewable" state yet. But I've gone and seen a lot of great titles coming in from there like Princess Blitz, Niche and that one that looked like legoes but with pirate ships
