Is "Jesus Christ that's terrifying" the thought you were hoping for?

And another two shots in the bag.

"What was that?! Did you hear something?"
Ernie gets spooked as our friends close in on a creepy location.

Not the hero they deserved, but the hero they needed:

With all the gloom and darkness, I sometimes forget that the story actually takes place in summer!

Aaaaaand some more screenshots.

The gang takes a well-deserved break.

Head back, or enter the dark cave? It's your choice.

In other news, after yet another rewrite I'm about 90% confident that I've nailed the story this time. And best of all? It doesn't involve re-doing tons of assets or renders! Yay me.

Either that one kid is really strong, or there is an invisible rope that the other kid is shimmying down

Good catch! Looks like the rope didn't survive the downscaling. It shall be embiggened in the next re-render.

Experimenting with a large format look (65mm) this week. I love how you get that sweet cinematic feel right away... and with it being all digital, I don't even need to shell out for fancy camera gear!

Busy working on some more shots:

Things are really starting to come to together. Made huge progress on the story in recent weeks and it's looking like a playable demo is finally within reach.

Managed to squeeze in another sequence this weekend:

The mood in this is amazing! Got such a great nostalgic vibe to it, like I'm 10 years old watchin "It" or something Who, Me?
Also, the villain looks super creepy!

Wow, you really made my day with this comment Smiley

Obviously IT is a huge source of inspiration for me. Having my game be compared to the movie feels amazing.

This shot's been in the works for quite a while and now, finally, I'm happy with it.

Made a little gameplay video to show how it works in the context of the game. That is, if you can even call it "gameplay"... it is a visual novel, after all, so don't expect too much in terms of interactivity.

That second font is so Lucas Arts 90s point & click game! Grin

edit: in case it wasn't obvious, I love it!

Ohhh, I reviewed all your posts from last time when I checked this thread and helluva yeah. It retains simple equation as I remember it. Every image = beautiful art & mood. Screenshots with kids reminded me "It" (I not saw movie, but read book (1000+ pages)), and that's somehow I was imagining it.
