You're born into this world a guinea pig before god. Unsure of his motives you progress through life solving his puzzles searching for meaning in the rudimentary problems of everyday life. To make sense of life we must evolve past our previous forms, purge from our bodies the rules set in place by our previous selves in order to see the future with new eyes.... In other words Spewer is a game about puking. ------ Spewer is a puzzle platformer that uses liquid physics though regurgitation as its core mechanic. Taking the role of a mysterious test subject, code named Spewer, you must vomit your way through over 60 levels of stomach turning puzzles, learning new abilities, changing forms and piecing together your purpose in life. Spewer was programmed and co-designed by Eli Piilonen a fresh face to the indie scene, and Edmund McMillen Artist/designer behind such indie hits as Gish, Coil and Super Meat Boy. Spewer is sponsored by Newgrounds.com Eli Piilonen - Programming / Design Edmund McMillen - Art / Design Danny B - Music Jordan fehr - Sound effects Play in browser: http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/494129Download url (Pc/Mac): http://www.newgrounds.com/downloads/flash/spewer.zip xoxo -Eddy

I initially harked back to Carious Weltling, the game which introduced me to your alarming works all those years ago.
I was not disappointed. Fecking ace. Cute, fun AND you eat your own vomit. Frontpage this one, ja?
ALSO LOVE: The sense of gooey-eyed wonder on Spewer's face.

this is so good! even though the dive lvl, and tears level are so fucking frustrating!
i know its a puzzle platformer, but none of the levels have taxed me mentally much at all, id say a physics platformer..
how do you find all these amazing coders? i want to find one!
EDIT- i second gains edit, i love the face

This was very nice.
I am working on a SPH-based platform game myself so it was a little disheartening to see someone beat me to it, but at least I got some more inspiration =)

You're game makes me want to vomit... in a good way.
Just finished it, loved the ending. Gotta love how many laws of physics this game manages to break, but of course cuteness and science are above the way things really work.

Criticism time!
Only having WASD alienates many people from the game. You should add arrow keys as well.
The unpredictable nature of the physics makes some puzzles a big pain to solve.
That's about it.

Does this include the times when you get too close to the edge, and the spikes reach up and kill you?

you speak the truth! none of our testers had crazy keyboards so this wasnt ever even a thought in my head... seems like this would be a problem for most games ? ill see if i can add the arrows as well in the next update. and yes physics do that, we actually took out most of the levels where physics(luck) played more of a major role.. but some were too fun to remove (so we pushed most the bonus chapter). the spikes are a bit iffy.. but such is life. -Edmund

I love this game! I think it's more fun than Meat Boy, mostly because it has the same charm and fun while managing a bit more finesse, even with crazy vomit-physics. The vomit doesn't always do what you want, but it almost always goes where it should in the end, and it's generally simple do get it all back if you do screw up. I'm in the middle-ish of world four right now, and I'm looking forward to finishing!

Got to "harvest" yesterday, and have spent a total of an hour and a half on it. At this point I say "fuck that shit" and give up because of the spikes.
It's a fun game, though. Just not this stupid level.

This game questions my understanding of what's low-end PC. The fact that it's slow keeps me away from playing it till the end.

I actually finished meatboy all in one sitting (and loved it), but I barely got anywhere in this one.
