Hi all,

We've been working on Planet Strike - Autofire for years and finally reached the alpha phase. It's a 2d top-down arcade shooter currently available for Windows.

It would be great to hear some general feedback from you.

Download the zipped exe here:
http://hedrongames.com/planetstrike-alpha

If you have a few minutes please fill out our survey:
https://goo.gl/forms/lUobsV3SbdsasIZU2

Controls:
move: ASDW or arrows
boost: E or SPACE
choose ship: 1 2 3
next ship: Q or TAB
fullscreen: ALT+ENTER
F6: survey form
F7: send instant feedback

Gamepad supported.

Thank you!

Filled the survey. I find this an interesting approach to testing a game. I wonder how many players actually take the time to fill it.

As already written in the survey: great artstyle! Except for a few points where I couldn't distinguish what is destructible and what is wall. But the controls feel so lousy I quickly stopped playing. I rarely felt in control of what's happening on screen. And there was nothing to do for my right hand, WASD was enough. Maybe add side-stepping or a fire button. Side-Stepping and holding ForwardKey to fly would go a long way to make this game more enjoyable.

Hi, thanks for your detailed feedback.

Holding forward key to fly forward will be implemented soon. Same goes to the level-end upgrade menu without quitting.

So you suggest to bind firing to a key instead of autofire?

Regarding the performance issue, could I ask what GPU do you have?

System Info says "AMD RADEON HD 6350". As I said, it's a work computer in a software company - beefy CPU but a GPU that only excels at displaying excel sheets.
