So a while back I decided I wanted to make a text mode emulator/simulator -- essentially a small library that would post ascii text on the screen and use regular graphics api in haxe.  I used haxeflixel and tilemaps to put text characters on the screen loaded from a bitmap of the font (code page 437).

When I got done I wanted to make a game that utilized it and here it is, the classic snake game:
