A very pretty effect! Does the progress of the left to right scan somehow map to the progress of a game-save? How does that work?

I might have made it sound more fancy than what it is. As you make progress in the game, every time it saves, the picture shown increases in the amount of characters visible. The animation shows the different looks of it from 0% to 100% completion.

It seems you took a lot of very interesting choices in designing your game to be minimalistic and focused.
The interactions on a 3X3 grid looks quick and guess they work great as consecutive levels. The choice to present short cut-scenes on a cinema-scope like square is beautiful.
