I'm in for anything under 500MB I can download or UT2k4. I think I'd probably lag like hell* though, so FPSs may not be a good choice for me... but I'll try anyway. Tongue

22:00 GMT is 19:00 here, so it's great.

(Same for you, Melly! Just noticed you're also in Brazil Grin )

*Hell lags a lot. I heard their fastest connection speed is 28kbps and only Satan can afford it.

That's why it's called Hell. When gamers are sent there, they're forced to play Halolz on 2000 ping with headphones attached permanently to their ears in the 11th volume so their ears can literally bleed to the sound of "NOOOOOOB!!!1123!" over and over for eternity.

And 19:00? That should gewd for me.

Also, Warsow is fun, but a bit simplistic and the ping makes me a nooblet at it (at least it's usually around the 200 mark, which is still playable). But I'd be willing to throw a few rounds with you guys.

My father grew up in Brazil actually, though I've never been there.

What's Warsow?

EDIT: It's a FPS, I don't like those D:

I'm up for some Starcraft, fer sure.

Radnom, you're a Kiwi? From Australia myself, but still, nice to see some others from... Oceania? Is that the general area?

2200 GMT... 0400? Peachy. Ah well, we can always try to show up.

Whereabouts? I became an 'honorary' kiwi for a year (got back to the UK in July) being in Auckland Uni on exchange.

Staying up till 4 in the morning to talk to my friends was... fun... yes.  Huh?

I've been meaning to try Warsow. I don't like FPS games that much, but this one has nice cartoon-ish aesthetics. It's also helpful that it's crossplatform (there's even supposed to be an early alpha version in the forums for Mac users), and basically any computer that can run Quake II can also run it.

However, as for the start time, I live in Taipei at +8 GMT. If anyone on the Western side plays late enough, those of us on this side of the world could join in Sunday morning.

Other games that we could try:

1. Multiplayer Asteriods, which we covered last year. It would be better for scheduling group plays of 30 minutes to an hour instead of a game night, but it might still be useful.

2. A free MMORPG. We could choose to occasionally play together collaboratively instead of competing against each other. OnRPG has a decent rated list of games to choose from while Free MMORPG List seems to be more up to date.

Oops, forgot to start a poll last night!
I'm gonna lock this (if I can), since it seems you can't add polls to old topics.
