Hello everyone!
Proud to announce that Luderia and me will be working on:
Luderia developed the original Battle Rides and launched it for iPad about 4 years ago. I've met the guys from
Luderia:
Vex,
Caua and
Lipedal working here at
Aquiris and they invited me to participate on the development of the sequel for Battle Rides. We saw great potential on a sequel, this time approaching
PC as the main platform, with controllers and keyboard as an input. As great fans of
local multiplayer games like TowerFall we aimed to make a local fast paced hardcore experience!
We worked really hard on getting this build ready for the Jam, but unfortunately we didn't accomplished everything we wanted, so we are currently working on getting the things we targeted for the jam ready first.
The original Battle Rides is available for iOS
here. This is the current state of the game:
You can play the current game version here! For now the plan is to develop a MVP for the game, with some more cars and polished gameplay, new FX and stuff. After getting this MVP right we will be developing a full version with lots of cool new features.
List of features that we are planning to have:
- Deep, hardcore competitive play for 2 players or more
- Novel gaming experience somewhere between Mario Kart's battle mode and figure skating.
- Unlock lots of vehicles, use power-ups and play on different arenas!
- Different cars, different feel: try each one and pick your favorites.
- Multiplayer mode for up to 4 players and a single-player mode for the friendless fella
