I have been working on a metroidvania for some time and was looking to see if there would be some artist interested in collaborating with me. Due to the nature of the project, it is difficult to execute alone. I am a programmer by trade and have built custom 2D/3D engines from scratch and work alongside many individuals from various disciplines. I am looking for a pixel artist or two who are interested and more importantly passionate about making a quality metroidvania style game. I grew up playing castlevania and metroid and would love to emulate that style and bring fresh concepts to the genre. I have a demo up at this link so that you may take a look at the current progress. I have always struggled with pixel art and artwork in general, but I am a very good programmer.
