Has anyone been through the process of estimating the fair market value of their game IP?

I've been developing my game for a while but I haven't incorporated yet (so I own the IP personally by default).  I'll need to assign the game's IP to my company in exchange for shares issued when I incorporate, but to do this I need to provide an estimated value for it.

Please let me know if you have any experience with this, and can give me some tips, thanks!

Why? Did an attorney propose this?

This sounds... over-complicated. Why do you really need to evaluate your IP if you are the sole proprietor? You get 100% shares regardless and dividends don't change. The only way I can see it mattering is if you plan to sell the company (but buyers would generally evaluate themselves).
