POSTWORLD is Hardcore Action RPG where you can replace body parts with powerfur combat prostheses on the fly. Also game features non-linear story (join Cultists, Slavers or Railwaymen).




Gameplay sneak peeks:



STORY
You managed to escape from secret labs of ominous transnational corporation (TNC) where you were one of many subjects to inhumane experiments. Now you roam the wasteland hoping to survive and take revenge.
You will have to cooperate with 3 factions (Cultists, Railwaymen, Slavers) on the post-apocalyptic Wasteland.
You may either join one of the factions and help it to destroy the others, or swim against the stream and become the Wasteland King!

RELEASE GAME FEATURES

- Augmented body parts. Use powerful combat prostheses to replace weak flesh and destroy your enemies.
- Non-linear story. Quests that you receive depend on what decisions you have made and whether you have joined Cultists, Slavers or Railwaymen. One will have to beat the game multiple times to see all possible endings.
- Huge arsenal. We grant the player a large choice of devices to bring death and destruction with. Melee weapons, firearms, bulletproof shields, various ammo, explosives, stimulators and more!
- Shields. From simple wooden bucklers that can hardly bear an axe blow, to high tech bulletproof shields equipped with built-in flamethrowers and stunning devices, they are all an essential part of equipment.
- Violence. Area-based damage system allows to shoot enemies’ body parts off but losing an arm and a leg does not matter to tough wasteland dwellers...
- Weapon customization. Weapons are fully customizable. Any part can be replaced: barrels, hand guards, sights and buttstocks of firearms, as well as handles, guards and blades of melee weapons.
- Global map. The wastelands are large, and the mechanics of travel between distinct game locations are inspired by the old skull RPGs.

Hi! Thanks. The minimum requirements are dictated by Unreal Engine 4:
- Desktop PC or Mac.
- Windows 7 64-bit or Mac OS X 10.9.2 or later.
- Quad-core Intel or AMD processor, 2.5 GHz or faster.
- NVIDIA GeForce 470 GTX or AMD Radeon 6870 HD series card or higher.
- 8 GB RAM.

Btw, we are aiming to Steam(Windows) only since we are indie and don't have any Mac-like computers :D

What about recommended requirements. Well, it is definitely too early to discuss. Nonetheless, one thing I can tell you is that when we get < 50FPS, we are trying to rework our levels, game logic, etc. Now everything works in 50-60 FPS range on middle-tier PC. We test all the stuff on powerful  desktop PC, powerful laptop and low-tier laptop.

The art is great, but what are the minimum requirements?

Not bad! The biggest things I noticed were:

1) lack of footsteps sounds. I guess that doesn't really qualify as ambient. It did sound like there was some grass sound when the player briefly moves off the train track.

2) The gunshots (I assume?) sound a bit more like woodpeckers than guns to me. A bit too wooden.

The sense of aural space is nice - like, the gunshots sound like they are at a distance, etc. It's a good start!
