As for the Kickstarter images, you could do a few with fighting enemies.  Also, the text doesn't really have a good contrast and makes it a bit hard to read in many places due to lack of contrast.  For example, have you even watched a movie with subtitles where the subtitles didn't have an outline?  Adding a reasonable dark outline or dark background would help.

This is probably a question for later, in terms of visual variety, will there different types or environments?  Maybe different patterns (stones, colors), dark caves, etc?

Hey, thank you! We plan the next set of screenshots with the enemies. Agreed, we will need to do something about highlighting the text, specially "An Ancient Epic". Thanks for the feedback.

And to answer your question regarding visual variety. Yes! Our project is still at a very early stage, we plan to have levels which will be visually distinct from each other.

and it seems like you can interrupt any enemy attack, including "heavy" ones I presume?
