I've been working on this game.
It's a cool game.
I really like it.
I'm excited about it.
This game is made from the memories of that one Jurrasic Park WC3 Map.
You know that one guys?
It was awesome.
Oh you don't know?
Okay, well it was a TOWER DEFENSE BASE BUILDING SURVIVAL GAME.
It used classic RTS-style controls, but you had to fend of dinosaurs with your towers,
while building enough stuff to keep alive, until a helicopter or something finally showed up,
and everyone made a mad dash for it. (That part was imo not as important)
And it was awesome!
I wanted to make something similar, but THROUGH MY OWNNNNN PASSIIONVISION.
Through my own capturing of that classic tiny-young i.i, wanna-be-a-gam-dev moxie.
I will BUILD THIS GAME.
AND IT WILL BE COOOOOOOOL.
--- The GameLog Section ---This is my first time touching unity.
This rolly polly was such a huge accomplishment.
Hmmm, I think I'm getting somewhere.
I've figured a bunch of doohinky out!
Look I got some shnazzy 2.5D stuff goin on! Woooooooahhhhh!!!!
I was really proud of this. Haha
Oh snap, check out all this cool stuff doooooooods!!
There's a health bar, and an energy bar,
the enemies are chompin' now. It's cooool!
So how this works is,
each enemy will drop a yellow sphere.
You can use the spheres to build things,
or you can use it to upgraded things.
They are the general resource.
Now the energy bar supplies power to the buildings.
Each building requires a certain amount of power to function,
and if destroyed, will return the power it is consuming back.
This is where the game is now (at the time of this post).
I've started working more on the building mechanic.
Now it supports building things that are more than one block thick.
There's also an upgrade mechanic now.
You can select the sphere in the middle and choose what you'd like to do.
Currently you can either improve the towers, or you can get more energy.
--- The Demo Link Section ---https://ii.itch.io/belfrys-gridworldThis is still in a very rough shape.
I'm a slow game dev.
I try to schedule.
I'm trying out evidence based scheduling.
At least, as much as I can manage of it.
But I really like this game, and I'm making it 100% for that little kid that I once was.
And that's all that matters to me! Yeaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!
I'm i.i,
and okay bye
