Greetings!  Gentleman

I am Carmen, a.k.a. ExPsyle Music. (http://music.expsyle.com).

Some of you from the visual novel community may recognize me as the composer for Unbroken Hours's visual novel games (http://unbrokenhours.com/). Due to the nature of visual novels, I have composed many orchestral tracks, some ambient tracks, and some rock tracks for those rare battle scenes. Musically similar to the JRPG genre. I am always open to working in new genres because it helps me expand my skills too.

I have recently started to take on more freelance/contract work with other indie game developers. Just last month, I helped Silicon Fox with the soundtrack to their first iOS game, Fox Detective (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/fox-detective/id1271158537?mt=8).

Being a solo indie game dev myself and not being funded for it, I completely understand the need for affordable music producing services or affordable music resources that can be used freely. Simply let me know what your budget for audio is and we'll figure it out together.  Smiley

If you look through my released albums on Bandcamp (expsyle.bandcamp.com), you may notice that many are copyrighted as "Some Rights Reserved" while most of the Original Soundtracks for games are "All Rights Reserved". The ones labeled as "Some Rights Reserved" essentially means you are free to use them as long as you credit "ExPsyle Music" somewhere on or in the product you're making with the music. In this case, I'm assuming your products are games.

For crediting purposes, I have put together a "Media Pack" (http://music.expsyle.com/ExPsyleMusic_MediaKit.zip) which contains the ExPsyle Music logo in a few different formats including splash screen, medium web logo, small web logo. It is not a requirement that you use them to credit me. Simply having "ExPsyle Music" in the credits will suffice.

On the topic of royalty-free music. I have taken it a step further to offer music packs for FREE to support the needs of indie developers who have absolutely no money to spare. I am only able to do this with support from generous patrons on Patreon: www.patreon.com/ExPsyle. In this case, the bigger the pledge amount is, the more free music I can make! "Songs of Winter" is the first example of a Patreon-funded royalty-free music pack: https://expsyle.bandcamp.com/album/songs-of-winter. As a bonus, I often make publicly free posts on special themed occasions like Christmas and Halloween. So even if you don't become a patron, it might be worthwhile for you to follow me! When you're feeling generous and want to give something to new and/or struggling game developers, I hope you think of me.  Toast Right
