The right idea would be to build a system of covered paths in between gates so you can avoid being spotted by ghasts. Like a system of tunnels.
No windows.

Does obsidian withstand the impact of the Ghast fireballs? If so it might be the only viable construction material to create a permanent shelter in the Slip.
I though any fireproof material survived their blast, but I may wrong. |

I though any fireproof material survived their blast, but I may wrong. If you watch the preview videos, the fireballs appear to be explosive, but I dunno... |

Notch said he found a way around that. I assume that the game just goes through a loop or something and finds the highest possible point you can spawn at.

Looking forward to the update, though i probably won't get to play it much for a week or two (gotta finish 2 games for the Intel Visual Adrenaline thing, plus midterms and tons of homework...). I noticed in the videos that it seems now Flint and Steel is endlessly usable.
Yeah, I've never actually made any, guess I'll need to figure out the recipe... (I suspect it involves iron and flint...  ) |
