Notch, thanks for the great game! While I totally agree with this point, it would be a shame to see the online community die post-alpha because of "politics". Choose your price point wisely!

Notch, thanks for the great game! While I totally agree with this point, it would be a shame to see the online community die post-alpha because of "politics". Choose your price point wisely! meh, that advice disappoints me. frankly I think 20 euro is cheap as hell for this game. your whole idea with half off during the alpha for pre-orders is great, i'd continue with full priced or maybe 25% off pre-orders in beta and then maybe lock it down or limit features for free players when you go gold. Remember, the people that say, "oh please, please make it be free!" are the ones who will find a way to buy it even if they say "i can't afford that!" since they care so much about having it, hence the pleading...

Even if the game doesn't sell as well as it could, I'm still going to deliver on the promises I've made to the people who have paid. I'm in this for the long run, and you don't get there by letting down your customers.
Besides, my biggest driving force for making the game is to have COMPLETED something commercial on my own. Plus I freaking love coding.

Today, I visited the place, described as some as "TOTALLY AWESOME", known as the TIGSource Minecraft Server.
The transportation would have been a memorable trip in itself; the zeppelin ride was a beautiful one, and watching the city from the skies was simply terrific. The city, seen from aboveThe zeppelin, somewhat disconcertingly nicknamed the "Tighenburg", and the HELLOWORLD monument However, when I landed, I found that seeing the buildings in person was a much more majestic experience than I first thought it would be.
You only need to look at the Thi3f Statue to understand this; it has a grand feeling about it that only can be experienced by being there. The Thi3f Statue - simply grandThe TIGCastle is also noteworthy in this case - you can clearly see the workmanship behind it in all the small details found within. The TIGCastle on the outside......and on the inside. In short; there are many things to be found in the TIGSource Minecraft server- the underwater castle, the secret caves, the climbing tower - that I will not be able to show it all in one post article...How does this work?To be continued

I made the wooden maze and the stables in the castle, and I helped out with the moat.
Private servers make the game sooo fun. Everyone is friendly, and there's no scary anonymous griefers. I kept imagining monsters roaming the land as well. Hearing someone shout something about a lava zombie or a troll infestation would be epic. "There are swords in the castle! Hurry up, they're breaking the dam!"

Yes, monsters would be epic. I keep imagining zombies surrounding a small cabin/large castle slowly advancing while there isn't even enough shotguns/bows for everyone, so you'd have to go out with you broadsword, and chop some heads off. And you could always look to the Monster Manual for inspiration (Everyone fighting against a dragon would be really epic)
