Are TIGSource vaporware games like Ciellus or Tract (or to a lesser extent Fez and Café) fair game?
Also thinking of Metanet's Robotology, though Biocosm is probably a better vaporware demake than I could possibly imagine.
Of course they are! In that case, if Phil Fish, by some chance, were to release Fez within the next month, does that mean he could enter it into the compo as a vaporware game?

There will obviously be no prize.
Or maybe you want us to think that?

Who said it will be a substantial prize? :D
The winner will be given something. It doesn't have to be something of value.

Finally, a competition! I've been waiting for forever to start in on the next (and my first) competition. I'm definitely in on this one, maybe a game based on Starcraft: Ghost. Is someone going to submit an announcement about this compo?

You people are forgetting you cant copyright an idea, but only the expression. So as long as your work is original in expression (eg. Duke Nukem looks different to current one and so forth for game world and enemies) you cant be sued.

Since this isn't an official TIGSource competition, the announcement is not up to me to make.

I want to enter this comp, but I fear that if I never finish my entry the irony may decapitate me.

You may use any kind of art or engine that you make... Will you accept ripped graphics in addition to a large amount of newly created art? The game I have in mind has some nice images I would re-use (slightly alter as well) to de-vaporize it.

I might enter and do a Duke Nukem:Forever renamed to Lord Bomba: Eternity, In which the player sports a Deagle and Pipe bombs to horde of monsters, maybe pigs and Swine Flu I may need someone to colaborate with Sounds if that is inside the rules.

Of course. Let me update them. The rules are supposed to be very lax, so no need to fear breaking them.

I would finish designing, but I can't use my PC until the gasman comes. I was using Freemind for Brainstorming (ha brianstorming, Family Guy gone mad).
Guess I'll have to do some 3D with the apps I put on my memory stick (ha on my stick that sounds wrong).
Instead of Duke Nukem retiring and starting the Lady Killer Casino, Lord Bomba retires and starts the Four Babes Tavern, which gets assaulted by enemies.
EDIT: Blender's refusing to open. Gonna have to code or make design document without finishing brainstorming (ha brianstorming).

Already started on a Starcraft: Ghost game. Also, that FreeMind program is really cool and useful, thanks for mentioning that Sensenmann.

Freemind is awesome.
Also, is Battlecruiser 3000 A.D. considered vaporware?
