I bet that "something" is the SNES z mode thing where it scales/rotates sprites. Very SNES indeed  Well, hello there!

@Yong Thanks for calling me pretty but I have a wife and also I'm not interested. Also, I see what you mean about the hats, and I will put looking into hat depth on the to-do list.

@Penguinoccio I have added lots more penguins in this update but they are disguised as frogs.

@qMopey Long live the SNES!

@amanfr01 My two inspirations for the throwing mechanic were Kirby's dreamcourse and Yoshi's island. Good guess Tongue . Kirby is quite similar:

MANGROVE ROVE

And in motion:

Two  New goofballs. I am quite pleased with the frog.

Jumpy Boys. (Bitey Boy is extra mean)

Cool transition effect!

Now that I have the "bones" of the transition code in place, making different ones should be quite easy.

Did you notice the sweet mountains in the background? They noticed you.

How I draw a mangrove tree FAST! I can draw these bad boys in like 10 minutes now.

Peace out! Me and my boys are off to a party. Feel free to let me know what your favorite carnivore is or thoughts about the game.

I can absolutely see the Kirby's Dream Course influence! All the YES to that! Was a huge fan of that game (and now I want to re-buy it for Wii U).

Also, that transition is really neat! Could open up some unique mechanics with that animation...

Thanks msytic_swamp!

I forgot about this devlog, but I have been working on the game steadily.

Cool water:

Ripple effects:

You'll also notice there are different types of water at the top of the pool. Dark, middle, and shallow.

Where can I buy this!? You had me at the penquins and frogs. This looks insanely adorable! Love the water effects and the night scene as well. The name is good! How does the shooting mechanic work exactly? Is it a sure hit whenever the enemy is in the range?

This looks delightful. The physics of the stacks swaying left and right looks juicy and clean. Those types of visuals always make a game look attractive.

@PoeticMonkey Thanks dude! I spent a lot of time on the graphics.

@OctoMini It's not a sure hit as your target may change direction after you throw. It's more likely to hit the closer you are. Glad you like it!

@Ishi @InfiniteStateMachine @qMopey Thanks guys!  Beer!

So I've been messing around with procedural animations and 3d models that look like pixel art. I made something cool:

I have some big plans for these guys. Thanks for your comments!

Incredible work! When I saw sixleggedude on Twitter, my first thought was that it looks absolutely brilliant, but would feel a lot more solid if it had a shadow. I'm noticing some things, like that and the cars, don't have them.

It's a minor thing compared to all the awesomeness you have going on, but you did say realism is your number one priority:

Really digging the designs and the pixel art. All of that cuteness deeply pleases me.
