Is there a way we can donate some money to get TIGS on a stable (dedicated?) server someplace?

I'm not waiting, I'm just trying to get the site back up. I'll try to remember to get one up when I'm finished.

Thanks progrium! I guess we do need a more permanent solution at some point, this is happening pretty frequently lately. Let me know if there's anything I can do!

Sorry it took so long. We also moved it to another more maintained server, so it should be up when the DNS propagates. It died because Derek post-dated an article and that version of Typo kills itself when that happens... without any trace of it. Very hard to fix, took all afternoon.

Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance tonight to upgrade to 4.1.1 (from 4.1.0), so Derek will have to be careful with post-dating until we can upgrade.

What we need is a Jr Admin because my time is ... limited and valuable. At least that's what my investors say. They would not be happy knowing I spent all afternoon on TIGSource. Tongue

Jeff to the rescue, once again!

And yar, editors, no post-dating for a while, you hear?!  That means setting the articles to be published in the future.

Not a problem!

...seriously, I didn't even realise we -could- do that. Glad we can stop it now though, on with the article post-...oh right, I have 4 hours of lectures. Posting after that!

I'm still up for donating some dollars if something gets set up.

Alec, Graham Goring and I were talking yesterday about the theoretical solution of dedicated server or at least virtual dedicated server someplace and maaaaybe moving the blog from typo to wordpress?  I found this: http://blog.ifbydesign.com/2006/06/26/automatic-migration-from-typo-to-wordpress/

Looks like it would take care of everything except converting each post's author designation, but that could be changed on a post-by-post basis in WP.

Anyway, thoughts.
