Hi,

I've been developing Emberheart for over a year now, and in the last 3 months I finally got round to letting programming aside and started working on the graphics for the game!

Check out this youtube video for gameplay and the artstyle of the first level I made, and my blog website for the first developer update with lots of screenshots of the first cave and swamp environments

I could really use some feedback on the artstyle! well, the artstyle is pretty much set in stone, but it's the lighting and things like fog and atmospheric fog that i'm struggling with. Any feedback or tips on that is much appreciated!

the blog post is at: https://rebelcampgames.blogspot.be/2017/10/development-update-1-this-week-has-been.html

The youtube movie:

Thanks for your time!

Regards,

i immeadiatly knew its ue4, motion blur and particles are a dead giveaway.
it looks a bit dark, generally painted textures should not be used with realistic pitch black shadows, you should either make diffuse lighter or tone down the shadows.
