It doesn't matter how smart you are, how good your 3D rethinking is, some ideas work inherently better in 2D while some others do in 3D. Plus innovation gets less valuable over time, what becomes more valuable is improving on already existing game ideas as heavily flawed games is an ongoing problem. |

By the time I started to consider getting a Wii U the Switch came out. I'll consider getting a Switch right around the time Nintendo throws the next system out, thus perpetuating the cycle that started shortly after the GameCube.
Also, nice work Derek! I'll have to add Spelunky 2 to my PS4 collection.
