Artifact is a two-person local co-op platformer.
Inspired by William Basinski’s Disintegration Loops and dead video tapes, Artifact is a short journey through a disjointed collection of memories. Built upon a glitch art aesthetic and featuring asymmetrical gameplay, Artifact presents an experimental approach to traditional platforming.
Situated between the analog and the digital, Artifact is an exploration into memory, nostalgia, reconstructed approaches to narrative and interactive storytelling. Players find their way through a stream of consciousness in a VCR-esque world.
Artifact is intended to be a contemplative, atmospheric experience. Headphones recommended.
