ompuco, the glitch stuff looks extremely interesting. I especially liked the aesthetics in the last image of the first post, wowzee.

I've been looking at mesh generation, finally got a nice implementation of dual contouring up and running. Still some work to be done with the normal generation..

Spent a couple of days prototyping this thing. It's fun to play with. I think I'll keep working on it for a while.



It started as a bridge building game idea, somehow ended like a world of goo ripoff. Then I added a couple new things and it became something different. Besides your regular cell (I see them as cells now) you can make neurons (I'm calling them that now) that emit signals through the network. There are also muscle cells (you get the idea!) that contract whenever they get a signal. The idea is to use these set of cells to create contraptions. For now the neurons are just emitting when I press space bar, but there could be sensor-like neurons that emit whenever they touch something, or neurons that emit regularly with a given frequency, etc.

I'm calling it BIO BALLS!!... wait, no. Bio.. mechanical... balls? I better not call it anything for now.

I'm working on a game replayer: your actions are recorded and then you can play them back. It works! Next step is to upload these to a server so you can watch people's games.
