the chainsamurai hasnt moved in quite some time. it was just a little pet project. it was the "not a game project". back when i was gonna write a bible and try to pitch that to networks or something. designing a cartoon series is something i always wanted to do. i used to work in animation, you see. but...im working on something else like that. not the same but still awesome. cant say anything tho. ok ill say this: there might someday be a cartoon show with character deisgns by your's trully.

I put a video of Noitu 2 on YouTube (for awesome compression) for anyone who'd like to see a bit of it. I'm not keen on showing off much stuff before I am near completion (which I am not). I already said I was working on Noitu 2 but I don't think I need a new thread for this so it'd be nice with a little feedback. http://youtube.com/watch?v=XK37gN7kCwQ

Wow, that looks awesome, konjak! I want to play that game, like, now. It has a very Metal Slug feel to it, which is a very good thing, in my opinion. More please.

Cursor aims the tackles?
Looks good. The boss reminds me A LOT of that one Metal Slug boss... The first boss in 2 and X I think?

Whoa, Konjak, that looks very, very nice.
I am a huge Noitu Love fan. x3 I love the style, Noitu's new look reminds me a tad of Gunstar Heroes, this not being a bad thing at ALL.

Thanks people! Sorry to say that's not Noitu. That's a girl called Xoda Rap. Game takes place 100 years later.

Thanks people! Sorry to say that's not Noitu. That's a girl called Xoda Rap. Game takes place 100 years later. Haha, aw, I must admit I am just a little disapointed. But by the looks of it, Xoda Rap (cool name x3) is more than enough to make up for a lack of Noitu--her sprites are all full of character. Really. You've definitely come a long way since Noitu 1. Noitu Love just seems so worthy of an entire franchise, I don't know how to explain. So, I'm quite stoked you're making a sequel. Best of luck with it!

After seeing Kenneth's stuff, I got really inspired to try out some low poly stuff myself Here's what I've done so far: (the texture was difficult to make look good since the original character has hardly any detail) I had a lot of fun with this one. I'm a huge Ghostbusters fan, so it was a must :D I'm really enjoying making these things. I always find it fun to work within limitations and it nearly always sparks creativity.

BenH; those are superb! I always ment to ask Ken Fejer where to start with something like that? Software perhaps? a small tutorial?
I truly dont know where to start, and i would love to give this a try...care to give a few pointers?
Again; awsome!

Thanks guys! I'm actually pretty new to this myself, although I've played around with 3d software in the past, but not to much avail. I think pretty much any 3d software can be used as long as it allows you to modify models on the polygon/vertice level. I've been using Silo 2.0 (which I discovered the other day) to do the modelling, and 3D studio max for the UV-unwrapping/texturing. It could all be done in 3D Studio max, but I've personally found it faster to model in Silo 2.0 The textures for these are 64x64, but there was a lot of space left over, so they probably could have been 32x32. http://www.3dtotal.com/team/Tutorials_3/low_poly_character/low_poly_01.aspHere's a tutorial I found recently which came in very handy for learning the basics of low poly modelling, but also the texturing aspects too. Other than this, it's been mainly trial and error. To be honest, it was only a couple of days ago that I was asking Kenneth himself how he goes about doing this stuff, so I'm very new to it :D Any questions are probably best answered by him
