Hello everyone!

We are part of a small group of people working on developing an investigation adventure game looking for a programmer to bring our ideas into fruition. Our group consists of artists, writers and musicians who dabble in a bit of everything - while we initially thought we could teach ourselves programming, we quickly realised that was far beyond our capacities, particularly since we are all pursuing this project at a strictly hobby level.

The game itself is 2D, to be developed for PC, where you control a character who acts as a detective and solves cases. There is no fighting or combat system in the game. The game is inspired by murder mystery/detective novels from the early 20th Century; the player will be given mysteries to solve and must use the skills, perks and relationships they develop to find clues. There are multiple ways to go about solving the mysteries and 3-4 outcomes within each mystery. Each outcome has implications for the ultimate end-game and we intend for the game to be difficult, with lots of trial and error
If you are interested in programming for such a game, especially given its rather relaxed priority level and as we've been keeping all our game mechanics (and related plot-points) as vague as possible to account for someone who can take our game to greater heights in terms of mechanics.

The game is also set in a sci-fi environment, and the aesthetics are inspired by art deco. Feel free to PM to get in touch if this sounds like something you would be interested in!

Thanks, Hekat & Kore
