Panda Arcade has moved offices! We're still settling in, but here is a quick tour of our studio. Pico Tanks' soft launch is fast approaching, so we have made the move just in time. Not long to go now!

Photo #1: As we come up the stairs to our new office, some of you may recognise the backdrop behind the dog gate. We used this at our booth at SXSW Gaming in Austin back in March. SXSW which is something we are very proud of and we won't forget our experience.


Photo #2 top: This is our artist, James, at his desk working on the shipping yard map. The whole wall there is full of windows overlooking the street. On this side also is programmer Tim's, sound designer Yoni's, and UI artist Dan's desks.
Photo #2 bottom: On the other side of the room is project lead Paul and lead programmer Tim working on secret Pico Tanks business. (It's the matchmaking frontend and backend, shhh.)


Photo #3: Our last office was only one room, but this place has a few - including a break room! The perfect place to play Pico Tanks


Photo #4: Next to the break room is where studio manager Alicia and digital marketing manager Tegan work. It is also where George the sausage dog runs around and sunbakes. He's got the good life.

Pico Tanks Beta Version 13.0 is out and we need your help to test a brand new game mode called Fetch The Cargo! There's also a glowing new map for Hold The Flag mode, and we've implemented a friend matchmaking menu so you can easily coordinate players.

This is a MASSIVE update, and we will be looking to test 3v3 matches, so round up your friends and get them on the beta - we need as many people as we can get for this one!

This is FETCH THE CARGO, a brand new mode just released in the latest update for the Pico Tanks beta. It's a race against the other team of tanks to pick up the cargo and bring it to your base. First to two captures or whoever captures the most cargo before the time runs out is the winner!

Grab the cargo and protect the tank that is carrying it - as they can't shoot or use abilities while attached! Don't leave them vulnerable - this mode relies on your team having a solid strategy. So choose your customizations wisely!





This is test footage, but the mode is available to play right now in the closed beta program. We are also now running weekly online testing events to test all the new features in Version 13.0. Take a look at picotanks.com/events for upcoming events.

Check out this new map specially made for Fetch The Cargo mode! Teams start on opposite sides and then race to the centre of the map where the cargo is lifted from underground. The aim is to attach to the cargo and drag it back to your base.
