My client would like to know why the forum always takes us out of the thread when we post a message. Other forums don't do it. Does anyone know the reason for it?

Because you’re a new member. It doesn’t do that once you’ve made a certain amount of posts.

I don't remember it happening to me, honestly. What's the reasoning behind that behaviour. It doesn't make sense, to me.

supposedly because you normally wouldn't need to keep reading a thread immediately after posting in it

Oh, I vaguely remembered it going away at some point, but didn't realize it was a setting. Sorry for my misleading answer earlier.
