Working more on sleep logic for the dinos, it's a bit tricky since we also use sleep as a way for dinos to regain privacy once that value gets too low. Either way we finished over 20 shelters, and have integrated various pros/bonuses for each of them. Fewf. Bugs are popping up though, trying to scope it back a bit.

Really like the night shader.

Also...

Guest leave you park when the sun goes down, but by adding lights - we're hoping to add an extra dynamic where the guests stay longer, and spend more money. Just need to see if that's what the simulation actually does. Smiley

Huh, turns out your dino best friends pickup the top item in the list of a store when they destroy it. Totally un-planned, and it's just the system playing out, but I don't see us fixing this. In the pick the Albertosaurus just destroyed the deep friend butter stand. (holding a stick of deep friend butter...)

We ended up seeing tasks around the park we wanted to get done; but our employee AI sometimes would prioritize other tasks. So, although we're putting stop on all new features, this seemed like an essential gameplay feature.

Trying to get the guests follow their AI patterns when the night arrives; this was a bit trickier than first thought since there is some decision making that takes place on the AI's part about if they should even be in the park.

Still working on Dino AI. Lot's to do here. One fav addition has been eggs born into an enclosure with another species, is happy to accept them as their new mom. (we track moms now...a bit unfair to dads. Might put that in later.)

Trying out different degrees of our seasons. We've really pulled back our winter effect. I'm not sure how I feel about it, doesn't seem to have enough snow. Too much snow and you kind of feel the identity of the buildings though.

The free cam for the game is really a late addition (meaning full of bugs and probably a bad decision) - but it just makes it so much fun making little snippets to show off your park. In this example, we're getting the lighting of the windows to work at night in free cam. The world in our normal camera (iso view) but free cam was messing them up. It's a little example of how something that should "just work" causes problems down the line.

We made a world generator to quickly add some life into our park for trailer shots. I'm not sure if it's worth / have the time to get this in before Early Access. It would result in a ton of more work. I do LOVE the idea of a new world for a new game (similar SimCity2000) but is it worth the dev cost. :/

Finally did a second pass on our dino AI. A lot of focus on aggression and affection behavior. Turns out dinos like to snuggle late at night before sleeping, this was totally emergent.

So, not sure when we'll put the terrain generation tool in...or if we might put it in as a "test" feature. Either way, it's a lot of fun to create cool inverted exhibits.
