I played this today and liked. It's interesting how the wands change in each playthrough and the only way to find out what they do is with experimentation.

I would be happy with 1%. Played this a little more. It's good. The experimentation is nice. Some games feel screwed (forced to either combat or test wands only to discover your wands don't hurt enemies). I've won a few times after a dozen or so plays.

I feel this way too, but also I think it's important to recognize that it's not some sort of instant talent, he's been working in this area for years and obviously learning and improving along the way. I bet if you spent years making minimal roguelike/puzzle games you'd probably have a ton of good ideas too! (I mean, I'm totally in awe of Cinco Paus, it's sooooooo amazing in so many ways, but I think it's better to see it as the result of a lot of hard work and learning rather than some sort of innate talent, although that might be a factor too)

I was not familiar with this name. Didn't realize he was the author of 868-hack.
I hope it will eventually come to a platform I can play the game on.

finally took some time to play this properly. so this is basically the zapping unknown wands mechanic from classic roguelikes turned into its own game? cool but i kinda wish it was in english because i keep forgetting what the icons mean.

honestly the process of learning what the icons meant is one of my favorite things about the game. still have trouble with the artifacts but that'll come with time.

Any chance they port it to Android? Can't find any traces of that

brough unfortunately does not have the resources to develop and test android versions. for all the acclaim, his games have not sold very well.

Yes it's sad. On his blog he said his sales indicate people who know of him buy his games.. but we aren't doing a good job of spreading his work. It was Silber who convinced me to stick with Imbroglio + I've convinced a few people but I don't think they've spread it any further
