I downloaded the free version of Kontakt 5.

There's a Kontakt 5.component file in the components folder but there's no Native Instruments/Kontakt 5 plugin when I open GarageBand (I also made sure Audio Units are active).

What's wrong? How can I make it work?

I'm not even sure if they are compatible haha. You should really go for a different DAW. If you like the workflow of Garageband, I would definitely recommend Logic Pro X.

I use GarageBand because it's free. It should be able to read AUs (no reason why it shouldn't).
If I see that I actually want to do more I'll buy Logic Pro X.

I was just dumb... I was going for the FX selection AU instead of Instruments...
I can finally use Kontakt with GB! Smiley
