This is crazy... I haven't gotten that far yet (died on the way back from the first boss), but I'm afraid to keep playing because I don't want it to end.
It's such a shame this wasn't finished; it has so much charm to it...
Also, I can see its resemblance to Cave Story but it has enough of its own personality that that's not at all a big deal (I think someone already said something like that here, but whatever).

Ah okay tried again, played till the end without any more bugs.
Fun stuff, though I still hate the controls. I'd have the jump key assigned to A (or whichever key is furthest left) since the ring-finger seems to more slow-responding than the middle and pointer fingers, which should, I think be dedicated to more quick actions like sliding and attacking. It's weird to have jump be situated between two offensive/contextual buttons.

Xion, it has an asston of bugs because it never got any polish.
And I apologize that I never added anything but Alt+F4 to quit...

Seriously, please finish this. It has potential to be the MOST AMAZING PLATFORMER GAME EVER made, IMO.
