Indie connect at GDC 2018

Hi,

New here, so I will start with a short presentation of my self. I am from Denmark and I work as a software developer consultant, current job is architect/team-lead/developer for the Android dev. department of a major danish bank. But inside there is a indie game developer who is fighting to come out. I have made a complete game (all alone), a top down space shmup coded in Cocos-2d for iPad, I did that ages ago and never released it (I should have, I was to har a self critic). Since then I have made many experiments and prototypes in Unity 3D, but never finished anything. I am really good at coding have have a good understanding of Unity, but my art and modeling skills are close to non-existing. I have decided that I will force myself to select or find one game project to work on, and finish and release that game. I might end up doing that on my own, but it would be more fun and possible more successful if I teamed up with someone.

And now to the GDC 2018 part. I am going to GDC in San Francisco next month, it is my first time so there is a lot I do not know about attending GDC, but I do know that I would very much like to connect with some indies or wannabe-indies like me, socialise and talk and see if there are some that I click with. But how does one do that when you are going to GDC all alone like me? Does anybody want to meet at a specified time and place? Is there a place where indies typically meet? Are there any parties that would be good to go to, and does one need to sign up for those?
