It sure does look like a sexy new way of upscaling. So clean. In half of the cases it looks amazing, but in some cases it does change the looks alot (big mario sprite). The characters look a bit sadder sometimes. Although it can look amazing I'd tend to hq4x for authenticity when playing. For still images though I see a heap of potential (digital art, posters).

matriax, You don't know how much I wish I had that tool 5 years! I gotta get it some time and mess around, gosh really that looks like such a useful program. If I were making a pixel art game...

Wow! These pixelator/de-pixelator methods are great looking!
I've been looking into doing a retro graphics mode for one of my games, but it looks crummy when I just do a basic downscale to pixelate it. This is just what I was looking for. Thanks for sharing!
