Unfortunately this is only one battle. The war very much continues as no trademarks have been cancelled, and no criminal charges have been brought against Langdell. Although this does mean that a court has sided with all EA's claims, and actually concludes that Langdell has been fraudulent and criminal.

Yeah, from the sounds of the full ruling thing, I think/hope he's gonna get his ass handed to him... but then it's Langdell, and he'll probably find a way to weasel out of it...

I'm a bit confused. Isn't this just abandonment of the "EDGE" mark? What about the rest of his "family" of trademarks? Are they considered part of the "EDGE" mark?

He currently still has all the others. And remember this is only the US trademark, his european trademarks are unaffected.

So you thought this was all over when Langdell had is US trademark cancelled? You were wrong. Future publishing has now laid the smack down on poor old Timmy for his UK trademark.

What I find amazing is that Future Publishing had already coughed up $275,000 to Langdell without offering any resistance. Just shows how lucrative his scam has been.

I don't get why he wasn't actually forced to repay the money to Future / other scam-ees (or more likely take some time in the nick as the cash is long gone?)  Kinda surprises me that he just walks away after all the people he's screwed!
