Child psychology, I believe.

(Maybe he'd be a better liar if he'd studied grown-up psychology?)

I don't get why he wasn't actually forced to repay the money to Future / other scam-ees (or more likely take some time in the nick as the cash is long gone?)  Kinda surprises me that he just walks away after all the people he's screwed!

Yeah really. Seems like he's still coming out ahead for being able to glide off his scam for so many years. Same thing regarding lying in court, I'm beginning to think that that's just acceptable behavior, and worst case is you get caught and lose the trial you would have lost by telling the truth (so why not lie and have some slight chance of winning?)

That last bit from RPS is just a clincher.

"It’s a pitiful sight, seeing a man realise that saying things for years doesn’t mean they’re true, and his subsequent desperate attempts to find/create evidence. But no matter how sad it all may be, I don’t think anyone can take anything away from the highlight moment, the revealing that his 1991 disc with its 1991 files were created with Windows 95. I’ll treasure that one."

Langdell is back, but this time he's the vicim.

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-07-21-tim-langdell-refutes-trademark-troll-tag

It turns out that this whole sorry situation was in fact Future Publishings doing and Langdell is completely innocent. Of course non of this has anything to do with the fact that Papazian and the Figgins brothers are now suing langdell for trademark infringements.

I wonder how many fellow indie developers will rally to Langdell's defence?

Figgins IS proceeding with legal groundwork? Is there anyone who's reported on this? I was wondering if they would, would love to read an article on it.

"fellow indie developers"? Langdell is among the lowly ranks of indie developers now?

Quote
We have no connection to Edge Games (and we don't want one). We believe this is a cynical attempt by Tim Langdell to generate sympathy for his court case. He will try to use the argument "Future made me do it" for his appeal against the Future lawsuit. We are certain that he will lose again, and he will probably be put in jail.

Loads of developers losing IPs and bank to this clown is equally ludicrous. Karma's a bitch. There are consequences to being an outright dick to society in general. Maybe this is the teacher.

Wow! I thought that this is all over. Saw the EdgeBobby2 when it was released and it made me chuckled.
