I played through this game the other day, and I agree with OP's 6-year-old nephew! I've seen and played games with this kind of mechanic, but it's a fun idea to explore. Monovert never gets particularly challenging, but it does introduce each new element thoughtfully. Clearly, the developer has learned the right lessons from existing puzzle-platformers.
