Hello all,

I rarely post, usualy just lurk, but I have an issue I can't solve. As some of you may know I work on freeware roguelike games (with donations barely covering hosting expenses). To organize the work done however I need to have SVN and Trac set up, and a local instance failed to work for me (due to collaboration reasons). The open source projects of mine went to SourceForge, but the closed source (DoomRL mainly) don't have a home yet. I tried setting up a machine at my flat, but the upload connection is too slow.

So I ask you guys for help, do you know any good Trac/SVN hosting solutions that are either free or cheap (under 10$/mo)? I found some, but they don't have the features I need. What I exactly need is:

  • SVN/Trac installation
  • public Trac visibility, but private SVN access
  • low number of developers ( around 5 ), but unlimited Trac users
  • small space ( even 100MB would be enough )
  • at least the basic Trac plugins installed (task grouping, include)

Can anyone suggest something?

Have you had a look at http://www.assembla.com

I've used them for a couple of projects and been happy.  They charge if you want to make things private, but the public spaces are free.

take care

Unfortunately they no longer do that, and their pricings now are horrible. Thank you for the reply anyway Smiley. I finally decided upon sourcerepo.com -- their plan is very nice, and the support turned out to be very cooperative and responsive.
