I've just started posting the games produced at
TOJam #4.
I believe this game in particular was destined for TIGSource.
You're a hiking cheese trying to scale a mountain. Goats will try to stop you, destroy them with a flurry of arrows. But that's not enough to justify "Holy Poop". What sets "Cheese-ohol 2" apart is the genius take on Wii-Motes (or Beer-Motes as the game affectionately calls them). Grab 4 friends,
tape 4 Wii-Motes to 4 beers (or preferably 4 beer cupholders) and play the game entirely by drinking. It's a crazy idea that actually works.
Angling your beer makes you walk.
Taking a sip releases a flurry of arrows.
A chug causes a super attack (reminiscent of Marvel vs. Capcom).
The game itself is surreal and hilarious with a style all its own.
At the TOJam Arcade, "Cheese-ohol 2" put a smile on the face of everyone that played it. The TOJam page has a video briefly showing the game in action at the arcade. Admittedly, attaching Wii-Motes to your PC is somewhat daunting, but well worth the effort. The 1 player mouse mode offers a taste, but does not do the game justice. If anyone does manage to play with Beer-motes, post your thoughts. Is the game just a passing fad, or a sign of the apocalypse?
