Hi guys, I might not new here, this is just a new account.

I would like to ask does anybody here, as a small developer ever got sue or being called to court?
I've read some story about a bad publisher. but what I wanted to know that if there is anyone from Indies that have been sue, or have a bad contract that takes all your rights, idea, and convert them into their game?

just wondering  Well, hello there!

Oh my, that was pretty bad, I was currently searching for others story as well.

But my case is the partner join in as a dev and converts our base idea into his idea then hijack the team member, which makes me as the contract signer not delivering the products. and no money delivered yet after 1 years. because there is nothing written in contract on how the payment goes. there is a share. but no dates.

have already talked, seems like this person just too greedy, His mouth and his contract is opposite.

Has anyone ever made some standard indie game development contracts?

We have a lovely tool for making press kits. I guess the one for making contracts is a lot more problematic :/

I think someone in the community gamedev, should make a standard that can save all of us. most of the gamedev is weak at law and contract stuff. but if somebody out there can help us make a standard contract, just maybe.. just maybe it can save us for not being rip so much...

There are sites that have templates for common things like NDAs, freelance contracts etc. Panda doc is one I've used but there are a few
