my music collection has been overplayed these days, and so i've moved my attention over to podcasts. some that i like include:
the sound of young america retronauts gaming steve
on the music side i'm listening to cornelius, who's videos are super great, this one (
) kind of has a strange video gamey/katamary logic to it (if that even makes sense).

Skaldic: You mentioned that radiohead is allowing people to set the price for the album, how exactly is that working? Is there a minimum price but you can pay more or is it free and you can choose to pay?
You can choose to pay 0 pounds (it's all in GBP), but apparently there's a 45 pence credit card handling fee regardless of the price, though I'm not certain that's the case. Your best option is just to check it out - what's there to lose? Right now, I've been listening to lots of Radiohead, running through all their (post-Bends) albums; Bowie, Jethro Tull and Lennon occasionally make it in there, though - I just recently bought Diamond Dogs and Bursting Out, and I've been listening to Imagine after hearing Jealous Guy brutally murdered in ads for Idol.

I think the fact that the music for Dump Jumper consists almost entirely of David Bowie midis should basically say everything about my musical tastes that needs to be said. I'm currently listening to Dethklok, Bury Your Dead, WolfMother, the Fratellis, and a bunch of local stuff from Austin. Yes! Austin has such a great local music scene! (I assume you're talking about Austin, Texas...) Also, Justice is awesome! Especially that

Yup, the local music scene in ATX is awesome. There's live music everywhere down here, and whenever I hear a band that's any good with a cd for sale I'll pick one up. Some of them are bad, some are good. They even have live music at the grocery store I shop in. The other day I was buying apples while some dude played War Pigs on the recorder, it was pretty killer

I'm listening to Blindspott at the moment.
I like progressive rock, progressive metal, alternative rock, metal, death metal, black metal, power metal, hard rock, thrash, and to a lesser extent, mainstream rock, indy rock and a little pop rock.
I'll listen to pretty much any subgenre of rock. My favourite bands at the moment are Tool, DIE! DIE! DIE!, Opeth, Rage Against the Machine.

In addition to the Facebook/IRC takeover, is someone going to initialize a last.fm group? http://www.last.fm/JimbobalobRecently, lots of Beirut, Radiohead and Vampire Weekend have been played. Now it's Flaming Lips and Rogue Wave time...
