I'm listening to Blindspott at the moment.

I like progressive rock, progressive metal, alternative rock, metal, death metal, black metal, power metal, hard rock, thrash, and to a lesser extent, mainstream rock, indy rock and a little pop rock.

I'll listen to pretty much any subgenre of rock. My favourite bands at the moment are Tool, DIE! DIE! DIE!, Opeth, Rage Against the Machine.

Woop! Hello fellow New Zealander. While our taste in music certainly clash, it's nice to see you. Smiley

Are you going to the Big Day Out? I'm pretty sure Rage Against the Machine are playing. If I do end up going, though, it'll be to go see Bjork or Battles <3

It's always good to know there are other NZers interested in indy games! :D

I'm definitely going. I never thought I would see RATM live, because when I first started listening to them, they had broken up (and formed the awesome band Audioslave with Chris Cornell from equally awesome band Soundgarden).

I want to see Bjork and Battles as well, along with DIE! DIE! DIE! if they go, and a bunch of other bands that sound like they might be good.

I looked through your last.fm page, I don't know many of the bands on it, but the ones I do recognise are good. I'm listening to your radio station now.

I'm listening to Captain Beefheart and his magic band at the moment.
I listen to Classical (a lot of Bartok atm. His 2nd Violin Concerto's awesome. Plan to learn it sometime), Jazz, some rock (prog rock, avant garde stuff, Bob Dylan and so on).
I also like some film scores.

In addition to the Facebook/IRC takeover, is someone going to initialize a last.fm group?

I'd join up, I've been using Audioscrobbler for almost two years now. http://last.fm/user/ravuya

Yes! Amazing. I very much approve. Smiley What album if I may ask?

I like jazz a bunch too, Albert Ayler Trio, Miles Davis [Bitches Brew!], Coltrane, Art Tatum, Ornette Coleman, bunch of fusion stuff too like Mahavishnu Orchestra, Frank Zappa, Allan Holdsworth... Miles Davis too I guess. Can't forget Jaga Jazzist either.

I listen to pretty much anything progressive too. Go figure.

Hella right now. There's No 666 in Outer Space is an amazing album.

That album is pure magic. The rest of his stuff is a little tepid, but that album more than compensates.

I got to see So So Modern, with Cut Off Your Hands starting for them, earlier this year. It was most-awesome. Seriously.
My only complaint was that the venue was too small and packed.

But yes, everyone aught to give So So Modern a go, they often have a pretty hot chiptune-esque sound that I imagine would go down well ^^;

But, to elaborate on what I'm mainly listening to at the moment:
Panda Bear, Joanna Newsom, Beirut, Devendra Banhart

And others of the indie-folk variety!

I'm listening to Pan Sonic's album "Kesto". It's kind of like noise/electro... I think the genre is called glitch.
