More like "Making a new level for my game daily" isn't it? Why don't you set it up so you can add these all into one game and just update it? That way you'd end up with one pretty good game with a bunch of content instead of a million tiny things that all look the same. You must be duplicating/copy-pasting 95% of your work anyway.
I don't mind the idea but to me most of the problems with it come from me making the games in puzzlescript.
One is that levels in puzzlescript can only progress in a linear fashion, so if I've made 50 levels you have to go through 40 levels to reach an idea that you wanted to see.
Another problem with it is if I come up with and work on a mechanic that isn't that fun to play.In the situation now if you don't like the mechanic and/or how the levels are designed with it in mind you can skip over the game and wait for tomorrow to play a new game (or search through the older games you have not played yet). But working on one game means you always have to go through them.
But I think a lot of it comes down to that I always prefer to have a lower number of levels in puzzlescript games and taking 2,3 or more puzzlescript games and pasting them together doesn't seem like a good idea.
I like using puzzlescript over using another game engine to make these because it can save me time 1-2 hours when making a game and if I was going to use another game engine I probably wouldn't make sokoban games anyway.
I agree ^
I've been following this post (it's great!). I love the idea of it being very short levels but without any explanation on how to complete them or what new functionality is being added. It's all about trying to learn it yourself. Could make for a pretty awesome little mobile game.
If I was to take 10 random levels from the games i've made and place their levels into one game would that be similar to what you are suggesting? Because I should be able to that easily.
Amazing, you obviously have a lot of ideas for grid puzzles. I would also love to see some of them explored more in depth
Though I probably won't explore some more in depth I may in the future if I start running out of ideas take 2 of the games mechanics and put them together into 1 game. That's really the only way I can explore most of the mechanics more in depth because only working with 1 mechanic for a few levels usually exhausts most of the interesting puzzles that can come from it.
