Just seeing if there are any other composers in here taking part in the challenge. My wife and I are going through it together and it's a lot of fun seeing her production skills grow as it goes along.

So, anyone else doing this? How's your experience so far?

So, this year's official challenge started on July first, but I'm sure it can be done pretty much any time. It's a little challenge to yourself to writ at least four bars of music every day for 21 consecutive days. He sends out a packet of pdfs that have writing prompts (more than 21) and you just go for it. Really, it's just to get in the mindset of composing a lot of music quickly and not getting bogged down in perfectionism or not knowing your DAW. Really fun so far.

Aw poop, looks like I'm 17 days late! I've been doing similar challenge of my own, where I release a track every Friday, so something like this interests me quite a bit! I'm going to look further into it; thank you!

Damn... seems really cool.

It is just that I'm working on two project at the moment, though... Tongue  Dunno if I really have the time. Maybe I could still try to find time for this.

I started this cycle (day 4 started 15 minutes ago  Grin). I think it's a really cool idea, but I'm sure the pieces I make will go more towards the minimum 8 required bars once work starts up next week!

I did this challenge a year or so back and it was alot of fun. I can honestly say, that my music raised in quality after producing track-a-day for this. And the "daily inspiration briefs" helped alot!

If you're interested, check out the album I released via Distrokid, on YouTube (Google Play)

I did this last year and I really enjoyed it. Producing one track every day for 21 days really tought me alot about productivity and the beauty of simplicity and not over-thinking when composing and while it's not really an album I can proudly listen to looking back, it was still a valuiable lesson for me as a starting composer. Strongly recommend it Smiley
