What? Who? When? Where?Hey! We're the magnificent Alien Duo! We're an indie game dev studio run by real aliens, yep, aliens. We exist, you can believe. We've being around for some time now, just watching.
BTW this game is all about that: we noticed that actual human society is running a bit crazy, funny and sometimes really freaking disturbing. You guys have loooots of crazy dudes as world leaders and business owners. Famous people are really funny too. And there are lots and lots of cool personalities and urban gangs/tribes/styles/subcultures too. Emos, headbangers, beatniks, surfers, mods, hipsters, punks, posers, yuppies, hippies, grungers, hiphoppers, gamers, hackers, ... the list is limitless!
We find it really amazing, so we're creating a game about it: a fighting arena to sit down and observe all those guys and gals fighting using their own styles and personalities.
Game DesignMaybe we should call it Sarcastic Fighter, or LocArena, or Freaking Freak Fighter, or Fun Fighter (maybe not because it clashes with Foo Fighters in Google Search). Any ideas?
The main idea is a Street Fighter-like game but with pseudo-real people. "Pseudo-real?" you ask... Imagine like personas, professions and urban tribes representatives. And it's not about just another fighting game with new skins: in Freak Fighter the players have movements/attacks/specials following their personality and skills. Full of sarcastic jokes and references.
We're trying to design and implement this game as fast as possible, hoping to implement it in 2 weeks, at least one arena/level with 2 fighters for now:
Mr. President: Just another world leader, he has a red button at his disposal, he can construct walls to protect himself, but he doesn't like to jump and his punch is not that effective. Oh, he likes to tweet too.
Startup CEO: He can dig endless holes, he can launch space rockets, he can read your social net feed and knows everything about you, and he can always ask for VC help to smash his opponents with bags of money.
We plan to add more fighters in the future! BTW what fighters do you want?
