This is looks super impressive! Love the glitchy art style & colour palette. Apologies if someone's already asked but what's with having what looks like two separate health indicators?

Yeah so far they've been used as sort of jewel like decoration, to make an old building seem more ornate, but there's definitely more I could expand upon with them! They've also been used for the tiny spider enemies eye so I'm tempted to make a larger spider that has one of those orbs for it's eye.

@WiredSound - Thanks! Yeah the 2nd health is just a placeholder, It will likely be replaced with something like "status".

Here's a few alternate buildings with more of a solid floor.



So I wanted to add a walking tree mini boss that you have to track down and has a door that opens once you stop it. Either by killing it or maybe some kind of flute or something...







I wanted to have the tree enemy in the dirt field location but it didn't stand out very well against business of the ground, but they work well on these sand tiles.

More tile combination tests with the deep sea and the coastal ruins, still need to find a cleaner way to blend these together.

Still aways off from releasing a demo. I've been taking a bit of a break from working on the prototype, just doing mockups to stay motivated. But I think I'll try to switch back over to the game dev stuff again next.

I've got a bit more of some of the more solid stuff like the beach sand mockups I'd like to add in and expand upon, then connect to the brown dirt area I already have playable. From there I'll probably try to get some kind of enemy interactions started.

At some point I'd still need to port it from the games factory to something like game maker but I'm really trying to stay focused on making sure I'm working on whatever it is I'd really rather work on to avoid burn out.

The biggest thing holding me back is still my health, still struggling daily but I'm making progress on healing. I've been on antibiotics for a few months now but I still have some really painful lingering conditions. Soooo looking forward to being able to live again and not always feel sick!

I'm sorry to hear you are struggling with regards to your health. But it is great that things seem to get better and I'm looking forward to see you bring your wonderful artwork to life within your game!
