Hello Everyone!

Exciting news to share with all you lovely game developers! I'm Daum from No Moss Studios, a game studio based in Australia trying to craft experiences that make you appreciate the little things in life.

With the recent launch of "Beam Team,” (a frantic, 2-player, couch co-op game revolving around planets, teamwork, and destruction), we wanted to step back from months-long projects and return to our roots. We wanted to create small games that add a splash of colour to everyday life.

We believe that little things can have a big impact.

So we started a Patreon page to help us support that. Our plan is to deliver 2 new games every month for our Patrons and supporters. We want to use Tigsource to devlog our journey.

A week has passed since our patreon launch and we are happy to announce our first game "My Magpie" as a part of the No Moss Studios Patreon Collections.

It's a story about finding and forming a connection with a little magpie.

We hope this game captures the essence of sleepy, after-school afternoons that colour so much of our childhood nostalgia. We also had a lot of fun playing with hand-painted blend animations* to make the magpie follow the player's movements. We're keen to experiment with this system more in future projects.

We hope you enjoy this game as much as we enjoyed working on it.

Hello Everyone!

Update time. It's been a busy past few weeks working on our Patreon games.

What has been crafting in our Studio since our last post?

We launched Skate Night! A comedy visual novel about rollerblading and chatting people up in the totally tubular '80s - giving a new meaning to the phrase "speed dating."

Check it out here:

What are we currently crafting?

Sound of my City, sim city meets music sequencer. Plan out a city as you listen to the music it makes. Currently, we've got most of the functionality implemented - music sequencer, sim city building elements.

Down the track we want to implement a simple RTS element to it so that the buildings you place down has more depth to the gameplay.

Sound of my Town, sim city meets music sequencer. Plan out a city as you listen to the music it makes.

Update this week for Sound of my Town
- Name change
We changed our game name to better suit the art style.
- Music sequencer fully implemented
- Save functionality
We can now save the audio file and a screenshot of the town you make
- Adjustable grid size
You can decide on the town grid size. This will effect the range or octaves and the duration of the loops.
