DLL download sites are scary, seedy places. I don't know how, but I once ended up with an alternate networking DLL bundled (not released) with one of my programs which I'm fairly certain was malicious in nature and activated when my program requested network access from the firewall. (I did not get it from one of said sites, so I'm actually a bit puzzled)
