Wholesome Competition

Theme: Wholesome

Start Date: 1st October
End Date: 1st November, midnight

Social Media: #TIGCompo

What is a TIGSource Compo?
TIGSource competitions are short competitions based around a particular theme. The emphasis is on collaboration, sharing, and, most of all, the completion of projects. In other words, it's an exercise in making small, tight, enjoyable/interesting games that can be played from beginning to end. There are no prizes involved - the game itself is the prize!

What does the theme mean?
Whatever wholesomeness means to you. It could be a religious/moral game, games you can play with your kids, a cute/sweet game, a game for positive social change, games that simply make you smile, or any other meaning of wholesome you can think of. Some examples could include; Little Big Planet, Library, Nintendogs, Morning Post, Bible Adventures.

How do I enter?
Create a thread for your project right here in the Wholesome Compo forum and document the progress of your game in it.

When you finish your entry, please add it to the "Finished Entries" thread that will appear partway through the competition. Completed entries must be submitted before 1st November, midnight.

What are the rules?
Entries should be started and ended within the time frame of the competition (feel free to put up your game threads and begin brainstorming earlier, though) and must be made for the competition (submitting the game to other jams/competitions running at the same time is okay, though). Collaborations are allowed and, in fact, are welcomed. You may submit more than one game (up to a maximum of three).

It's perfectly okay to reuse old code and pre-built engines and/or frameworks. It's only the game itself that needs to be done in the compo's timeframe.

Any format goes! But if your game doesn’t run on Windows it may limit its votes.

Great initiative, I’ll try to think of something for it. Smiley I would just recommend putting a time zone in the deadline.

We're not gonna be that strict on the deadline. As long as it's the 31st of October somewhere then we'll allow the submission.

Yeah, new TIG Compo!   Gentleman

Got an idea for this.  If I can get my current project squared away with enough time to spare, I might take part.

I posted this on the frontpage so maybe someone will see and join us!

Also, Oddball, wasn't sure if you wanted credit for kicking this off but say the word and I'll put your name up in (the sort of dim and grimy) lights in that post

I haven't been here in awhile but just heard this was on and think I might try and participate. Don't have any ideas at the moment but hopefully an idea comes up. Also would be good to collaborate with someone as I always do things by myself.

Sheeet... I can't get to grips with GDevelop 5. I'm going MonoGame, because I feel more confortable with it.

It's tonight midnight, but we can hold of a day to allow people time to post in the finished entries thread. We're not that strict.
