I echo everyone who said finishing games is important. 1000 half finished games aren't worth 1 finished game.

Ultimately, I think the real issue is taking things too seriously as a game dev. Yes, finishing games is an important skill ... but so is learning to enjoy and hold on to that sense of wonder that made you start making games in the first place. I think that is far more important. Just my two cents from reading this topic and following the game dev community for over 10 years now
